YOGA AT SAIMAVIK STUDIO
The great thing about Yoga is that it can be done anytime, anywhere, with very few accessories. All you need is to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. A nonslip Yoga mat is recommended, but if you don’t have one, we have mats at our Studio you can rent for $2. More than anything, though, beginners need patience and an open mind. With a little determination, you’ll feel the results of your practice in no time…
If you’re new to the Studio fill out the Waiver Form and the PAR-Q Form and bring them to your first class. You can also just fill it out when you come in. You can also download the Mindbody Connect App for easy purchases and check-ins!

Our classes run 7 days a week in a space dedicated to heal your body, calm your mind and strengthen your spirit. When your physical, intellectual, and spiritual self is working in union, your life becomes balanced. Practicing Yoga gives you the ability to know all parts of yourself with compassion and awareness.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN ATTENDING CLASSES
And some helpful studio etiquette, so everyone can enjoy the classes. *Also applies to all other classes.
Wear flexible clothing. Check class descriptions to know if you should dress warmer or cooler. Most classes will get you sweating while Yin classes wont; dress accordingly so you can enjoy your practice to it’s fullest. Use clean clothing for each class you attend.
Please refrain from wearing perfumes and colognes. It is very important to maintain a clean body. Please freshen up before class if needed.
Upon arriving at Saimavik Studio, you will enter from the front door. Please leave your shoes/boots and parkas in the entrance area. Bring in your valuables and place them in the kitchen.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes early but no earlier then 15 minutes before the class (we may have other classes in progress). Arriving early will give you a chance to get changed, talk with your teacher about any concerns or injuries you may have, get settled in and relaxed before your class.
Silence is Key
Please turn your phone to silent & put them away for the duration of the class. (some people are on-call and must keep their portable device handy) Be quiet as you move to your desired space. This will allow for everyone to settle in comfortably and mindfully.
Do your best and keep in mind that your best can vary from day to day. Rest when you need to, drink water, use the washroom; do what feels right to your body. Over time your practice will get stronger.
Feel free to talk to your teacher after class about any comments, questions or concerns you may have. However, keep in mind their may be another class starting shortly.
